Awesome sunday!

M Back to blogging.Didn't have much time to blog....Or should I say I didn't manage my time properly!Well, whatever the case I still haven't got down to either make my licence or get doen to join that AUTO-CAD class.
And neither did I get down to my other interests of writing poetry or drawing(Very ametuerish at this tho!!).....Well,whatever the case I had an awesome day-out last sunday!
Had actually gone with the intent to only see the Auto-show at BKC,but ended up walking all the way from Matunga to Worli Sea-link.
Well, the day started with me leaving my house very late(as usual) and then meeting Pavan at the station. It was aleady around 12pm or so,when we caught a train.Being afternoon time, there were very few fast locals......So the 12.15 fast to VT was long awaited with platform 6 being completely filled to its limits by eager passengers.Somehow I got into the train while Pavan was still whining about the crowds. He finally decided to leave the train at the last minute. While I somehow got in (God knows how I did it,but I did!)Once in ,I heard a guy saying he had lost his glasses in the commotion! Finally I got down at Kurla and called up Pavan he said he was catching a slow local as the next fast train was at 12.50pm.
Next,I put on my sunglasses bought a newspaper and braved out the harsh afternoon sun.Thank god I had taken my sunglasses,it was because of them that I was saved from the pain of dehydration or some mild form of sunstroke.
Waited for him to reach Kurla and meanwhile explored the area around the station which is famously known for its duplicate-shoes market. Finally, when he came we both checked out the shoe bazaar a bit more in detail, and finally keft for BKC in a share-rick(10 bucks a seat) after having Lassi in a dairy near the station.
Finally reached BKC after an incident near the station which saw me picking up a plastic bag as requested by the rickshawallah. So on reaching,as usual had not brought along my I-Card and thought that I woukd have to fork out the extra thirty bucks. But finally It so happened that I got in without my I-card and that too for only 50 bucks(and not the 80 bucks ,i would have been paying otherwise.)
On reaching the grounds and seeing the exhibits that were displayed there,I was in for a sore disappointment.WTF!!!All the cars & bike that are usually seen in garages everywhere and on the roads the rest of the time were the main exhibits. The only good exhibits were Honda's Fireblade and its CBR and the Ninja.Oh yeah! And there was a decent enough Stunt show too.Tho,I felt that the stunts performed were too few and they could have fone something new.
All in all the show sucked.....so we(P-1 and me) left for Matunga where I boasted that I knew an awesome eatery. On reaching Matunga,we left we went to the eatery which was at Matunga(E) very near to the station.Well the line there was tremendous and so i suggested sheepishly that we go to another nearby restaurant(Sharda Bhavan) which was equally famous for its similar south indian food. But the Dosa which we had was ok for the price we paid and not something great or anything.
So after that we started walking towards Dadar down the road of Matunga Gymkhana.....we walked on and on and crossed over to Dadar(west). We walked on and reached Shivaji Park and soon we were enjoying he cool breezes of Dadar Seaface. We hanged around there for a little more time and then decided to walk down the road parallel to the Shivaji park residential zone.....
Also we soon found out that down the road was Siddhivinayak temple.
P-1 told me that he had never gone inside the temple, but only seen it from outside.
Well we decided to take Darshan that day as we had no other thing planned for the day.
We did get the Darshan and also did some'Bird-watching'.Well I know that people say that its wrong to do Bird watching in such places but yet,I felt that well, god had created the beauty that one sees in the birds so that one's eyes are soothed by their pleasentness is it not?!?!?!
So after that we were satisfied but not yet tired enuf to have our knees wabbling as we walked...
We walked on towards Worli and past the Nehru Science center and entered Atria mall when we saw that Ducati had its showroom there...Oh yeah and then we also headed to Atria's food court only to find out that the food there was a tad bit expensive for us....and so we decided against having a snack there.
We walked a lil more and decided to sit at the Worli sea-face for some time.soon we found out that we were in need of Sulabh Shauchalay,as we were dying to perform the mundane but ectremely urgent act of...how do you say......ahh yess!!!.....MUTRA-VISARJAN(In the words of the great 'Silencer'.)!!!
Later we caught a bus and headed for Colaba Bus-Depot.Well,there is lot more to write about, but unfortunately M a lil bit busy and I can hear my dad callin out to me,....so I hope to keep on blogging...and hope i have more fun outings like I had on that day......!!!
